Depreciation – Literal and Metaphoric

These images are from a set I took at the old Sunoco gas station on High Street next to Houndogs Pizza & across the street from the plasma services building.  I had wanted to photograph the building for a while, every time I drove or rode past it.  The barrels out in front reminded me of those used for oil, and I couldn’t help but find the scene very visually appealing.   I rode my bike up there one day with my tripod to get some HDR images, and this man was taking a rest here.  It was strangely not a surprise.   I always wonder about the time before and immediately after this sleep happens, as well as the course throughout.
